Rogue: Genesia Slashes Its Way Out of Early Access: V1.0 is Out Now on Steam!

12 MARCH 2025 - Solo-developer Ouadi Huard worked hard to finally deliver the full release of his hit indiegame Rogue: Genesia. It's Out Now on Steam at €14.79 (regional prices may vary) and is celebrating scoring a Daily Deal on the Steam front page by giving players a 34% discount that will be available until 21 March.
Rogue: Genesia was originally released in Early Access in September 2022 and has since gathered over 300,000 downloads, with a Very Positive rating on Steam from well over 5,000 reviews. The game's popularity is further exemplified by the average playtime of 28 hours.
Alongside the 1.0 release, a new zone was introduced: The Void Plane, as well as new challenges, shop upgrades, talents and lots of other new updates, offering players even more content in a game that was already hard to put down!

Rogue: Genesia is a fast-paced action roguelite that blends the overwhelming waves of enemies from the survivors genre with choice-based path progression and an attractive HD2D aesthetic.
You play as Rog, a powerful soul incarnated into an avatar, tasked with saving the world from relentless hordes of monsters and powerful bosses.
Choose your path, unlock upgrades that suit your playstyle, and break the balance as you grow stronger.
Watch in awe as your visually stunning, upgradeable weapons & abilities unleash countless projectiles and powerful attacks, turning each battle into a spectacular display of might and strategy.
What Can You Expect?
- Equip and Conquer: A revamped equipment system that allows players to equip items with various stats and effects.
- Enhance Your Arsenal: Weapon Modifiers can be equipped to further modify your weapons or to add effects when hitting enemies. Slow enemies down with ice-imbued projectiles, light them on fire for continuous damage or chain lightning through strings of monsters.
- New Challenges Await: Game content is divided into multiple "Ranks," from F to A. Each rank adds a new "zone" to the game, extending the duration of a run.
- The Void Dimension: This is the final zone in the game, offering a fresh set of challenges to overcome!
- Seamless Onboarding: Numerous small improvements to help new players get introduced to the game.

About Ouadi Huard
Ouadi Huard is a solo developer from Lyon, France, who grew up playing video games from a young age. Not being satisfied just playing games, he started modding them and even had a pet project titled Epic Boss Fight amass over 3M+ downloads, which further fueled his passion for game development. He went to a Game Art school and specialized in Technical art, acquired some industry experience under his belt, and now channels all his skills and creativity into his first big release, Rogue: Genesia.
