10 SEPTEMBER 2026 - The wait is over. Lightbulb Crew has today launched Ex Sanguis into Steam Early Access, inviting players to restore the flow of life in a dying world through brutal turn-based battles, clever tactical play and a healthy amount of bloodshed.
Ex Sanguis is available on Steam for $19.99 with a two-week-long 10% launch discount. There is also an additional 10% off through a bundle with Othercide.
Ex Sanguis throws players into a dying world where blood itself has become an act of rebellion. Command elite warriors, called the Stillae, and wage strategic battles against the forces of Stasis in a visually striking black & white world that you will paint in vivid crimson.

The Early Access version of Ex Sanguis launches with 2 biomes (The Desert & The City), one boss and 2 mini-bosses. 3 playable archetypes for the Stillae and 16 traits to make them your own, 37 skills & attacks and a list of first achievements.
What's next for Ex Sanguis? - Early Access Roadmap!
Players can look forward to new enemy variations and a new boss being added throughout 2026, as well as new mission types and various other developments to widen the tactical scope.

Command the Stillae, elite warriors born from the Sanguis of the Mater, and lead them in a battle to save a dying world. Fight in tactical combat against the forces of Stasis and restore the flow of life.
In a world drained by the Purge, blood is defiance. Each drop of it paints the world in reds and blacks, as a reminder that life fights back. This is not just violence, it's a vivid rebellion in a pale, colorless world.

- Use timeline effects - Speed up, delay or swap time position to impact turn order and outsmart your enemies.
- Play with your surroundings - Use objects around you, explode them, ignite enemies, or block their line of sight. Making clever choices dramatically changes the outcome of each battle.
- Leverage spatial effects - Use knock-backs, forced facings, flanking bonuses, and damage-over-time to dominate every encounter.

Created in 2013, Lightbulb Crew is a Franco-Swedish studio, with most of the team based in Paris. They are an indiegame studio with distinctive design and strong art direction. They make games that tell a story, while the mechanics stay front and center. Their previous work includes Othercide and Nova Hearts.
