22 SEPTEMBER 2025 – The Belgian devs from Fire Foot Studios released a demo for Jester: A Foolish Ritual, ahead of its Steam Next Fest October 2025 participation.
The recently announced co-op horror game, has sprung out of its jackbox and is ready to bring the scares! Grab up to 3 friends and explore the cursed castle while being hunted by a crazy jester!
Uh-oh... A creepy, cackling Jester has turned your old castle into a nightmare circus...
Good news? You’ve been resurrected!
Bad news? It’s your job to stop him.
Sneak, survive, complete the ritual (without screaming too loud), and maybe, just maybe you can save the kingdom and go back to being peacefully dead.

About the Demo
Jester: A Foolish Ritual is an upcoming co-op survival horror game,
In the demo, you and up to 3 friends can explore the cursed castle and get a taste of the gameplay, atmosphere, and terror that awaits in the full release.
What's included in the demo:
- 1 playable separate area of the cursed castle
- Basic version of the Jester with limited AI behaviour
- Up to 4-player online co-op
- Proximity voice chat support
- Sound detection from the Jester
- A selection of items and mechanics from the full game (basic rune collection and ritual preparation)
This demo is designed to give you a short but intense preview of the core gameplay loop. Some features and content are not yet included and will be available in the full game.
NOT included in the demo:
- Full castle map and all areas
- Advanced AI behaviour and full Jester mechanics
- Multiple difficulty modes
- Full variety of items and environmental hazards
- Map events
Note: This demo is a work in progress and does not represent the final quality of the game. Feedback is welcome!
In the complete game, you will explore a vast, cursed castle, uncover ancient runes, and perform rituals to lift the Jester’s evil curse. Each run offers unique challenges, increased replayability, and more dangerous threats as the AI adapts to your progress.

About Fire Foot Studios
Fire Foot Studios is a Belgian Indie Studio that just released their first commercial title Kick'n Hell. They are 3 young developers who graduated together and founded the company in November 2023, with the intention to create great game experiences in shorter periods!
