Hungry Horrors Demo Out Now on Steam: Feed Legendary Monsters from British and Irish Folklore Before They Feed on You
A demo freshly served on Steam, where cooking traditional dishes for legendary monsters decides if you're the chef or their next meal

2 April 2025 – Clumsy Bear Studio from the UK is thrilled to announce the release of the first playable Steam demo for their culinary roguelite deckbuilder, Hungry Horrors. Players can now experience the unique gameplay twist of feeding iconic monsters from British and Irish folklore.
Hungry Horrors is a culinary roguelite deckbuilder where you strategically cook and serve authentic traditional dishes to legendary monsters. Your deckbuilding skills and culinary decisions determine whether you successfully satisfy your monstrous guests or become their dinner.
Coming first to PC (Steam, Itch, GOG) - release date to be announced later. And plans to bring it to mobile (iOS, Android) and consoles (Xbox, PlayStation 5 and Nintendo Switch) are also in the works.
Hungry Horrors' Official Demo Trailer:
About the Demo
The first Hungry Horrors Steam demo is fresh out of the oven! This early taste includes two handcrafted biomes, six distinctive horrors to feed, two boss fights, four NPCs, and a variety of dishes to whip up. Explore non-combat rooms like the Nook, the Trove, and the Vendor as you perfect your menu.
The full game will dish out at least ten handcrafted biomes, each one bringing new monsters, bosses, NPCs, and special event rooms. It will also expand the range of dishes and include a fully developed storyline that leads to a fiery final course: a showdown with a dragon!
Expect regular demo updates as development progresses.
Hungry Horrors is an Official Selection for London Game Festival 2025. Meet the devs in person April 3-4 at the New Game Plus expo in London Museum, or visit Trafalgar Square on April 11 to play Hungry Horrors on Steam Decks, where the trailer is also shown on the big screens flanking Nelson’s Column.
