30 SEPTEMBER 2025 – Solo American developer Nebuloavoid Interactive, currently based in Thailand and attending Gamescom Asia on October 16th, is thrilled to announce that FALLENSTAR’s trailer is now live alongside the launch of its Steam page.

Challenge your reflexes and choose between duty and values in this fast-paced roguelike-metroidvania set within a corporate dystopia.

FALLENSTAR is about commitment. In this game, you'll improve with each run and will gradually master the movement and abilities for each unique character class. 

Leave the comfort of your spaceship's hub and set foot on the hostile planet of 347TH2-Terminus, where you'll face menacing enemies and lightning-fast boss fights that'll strengthen you with each encounter, through both success and failure. 

Encounter friendly NPCs and upgrade your abilities on the go, with hundreds of unique perks to choose from. If you want to complete your mission, you'll have to adapt!

You play as Aetherion’s newest agents, joining the quest for infinite energy with the guidance of your onboard AI, Cora, whose priority is… not your safety.

About the Game

FALLENSTAR is a fast-paced roguelike metroidvania set in a ruined corporate apocalypse on planet 347TH2-Terminus. Embodying Aetherion’s many replaceable agents, your mission is to push deeper into the wasteland, recover the fragments of “Project: Red Sun,” and forge an infinite source of energy… while uncovering the truth hidden behind a collapsing system built on obedience and survival.

Armed with weapons and abilities, you’ll face merciless encounters that test both strategy and reflexes. You will succeed, and you will fail, but you will always remain one of the many sacrifices “to the greater good”.

Distinct upgrades and permanent progression refine each run, while haunting pixel-art landscapes reveal a world scarred by exploitation and decay. In FALLENSTAR, every deployment is a gamble, and every death strengthens both your next attempt and the corporation that sent you.

About the Studio

I’m Ben, founder of NebulaVoid Interactive. I started as a software engineer from the US, left to travel full-time, and finally came back to a lifelong dream: making games. My first experiments began as a teenager, but rediscovering that spark led to FALLENSTAR.

FALLENSTAR is my debut title, a sci-fi action roguelike that fuses metroidvania exploration with fast-paced combat. Set in a fractured, post-apocalyptic world, it’s built to reward curiosity, steady practice, and reflection. Inspired by years of gaming, a love for immersive stories, and disillusionment with corporate culture, it’s both an escape and the beginning of a universe.
